Notice of Public Hearing

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of West Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida, has called for Public Hearing(s) to be held as follows:

West Melbourne City Council, February 16, 2021, 6:30 p.m., City Council Chambers, 2285 Minton Road, West Melbourne, Florida.

West Melbourne City Council, March 2, 2021, 6:30 p.m., City Council Chambers, 2285 Minton Road, West Melbourne, Florida.

The purpose of these hearing(s) will be to consider the adoption of the following:

ORDINANCE NO. 2021-08

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WEST MELBOURNE, BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 98, ZONING, ARTICLE III. DISTRICTS, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO AMEND DIVISION 22, GATEWAY INTERCHANGE DISTRICT (GTWY-I), SECTION 98-843 CONDITIONAL USES, TO ALLOW GAS STATIONS AS A CONDITIONAL USE IN THE GTWY-I (GATEWAY INTERCHANGE) DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

A copy of the proposed ordinance(s) is available for public inspection at City Hall.  All persons wishing to be heard should appear in person at these hearings or send written comments to the City Clerk.  The public hearing may be continued to a time and date certain by announcement at this scheduled hearing without any further published notice. All persons and parties are hereby advised that if they should decide to appeal any decision made by the City with respect to any matter considered at the public meeting or hearing described in this notice, they will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, said person or party may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (Chapter 286, Florida Statutes). In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), anyone who needs a special accommodation for this meeting should contact the City Clerk at (321) 727-7700 at least 48 hours in advance of this meeting.
