Mission Statement

Vision 

The City of West Melbourne is committed to being a vibrant, growing, and caring community that continually seeks excellence for residents. Our vision is to grow West Melbourne into the Space Coast’s premier location for homes, careers, and families. (Adopted by City Council on February 16, 2021)

Accomplishing the Vision 

This vision will be accomplished through the following:

• Provide quality police protection.
• Utilize the City's Comprehensive Plan as the tool for properly controlling and managing our growing community.
• Encourage the enhancement of the City's appearance through landscaping and tree preservation.
• Provide the necessary infrastructure of the City to provide the services that are desired and needed by the citizens and businesses.
• Provide the leadership for the community to tackle the challenges of today and the future.
• Recognize that we can make a difference and provide programs and services that are environmentally responsible.
• Provide a well managed and fiscally responsible community.
• Instill a civic pride in the community which will improve the involvement of the citizens in their local government.
