The Splash pad capital project shade structures are being installed this week. The flooring contractor is scheduled to install the new flooring next week. A thorough maintenance and diagnostic test is necessary to ensure that the new master controller and all operating equipment is functioning properly. The Department of Health will perform a level 2 inspection prior to the facility re-opening. Watch this space!

The City of West Melbourne is committed to growing and improving the recreational offerings of the City. Under the direction of the Recreation Director the City offers programs for children, youth and adults. These programs include exercise, art, music, dance and education. Please check the menu to the left for available recreational and educational programs.
Parks and Recreation Director Rich Boprey is responsible for initiating and implementing the recreation programs for the City, which are headquartered in the Veterans Memorial Complex (former City Hall) at 2285 Minton Road. He is assisted by a full-time Recreation Assistant, a full-time Special Projects Coordinator, a part-time Recreation Clerk, a Park Maintenance Crew Leader, a Maintenance Worker, and three Equipment Operators and advised by the City’s Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
Municipal Parks
For your outdoor activities, the City has seven municipal parks within the City. Amenities vary from park to park; be sure to check out the amazing leisure opportunities our City has to offer.
