Public Notice - Conditional Use and Initial Site Plan

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of West Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida, will hold Public Hearings on Thursday, February 27, 2020, before the West Melbourne Board of Adjustment at 7:00 P.M., City Council Chamber at 2285 Minton Road, West Melbourne, Florida. The purpose of the hearings is to consider the following:

WITHDRAWN – The request by Sams LP Gas, for the conditional use permit and initial site plan for a liquefied petroleum product facility has been withdrawn by the applicant. Please contact the Planning Department for additional information.

A request for a conditional use and initial site plan approval as provided in Chapter 98, Article III., Division 13. – M-2 General Industrial District, Sec. 98-564. – Conditional uses, the storage of liquefied petroleum products, of the Code of Ordinances to allow for the future development of Sams LP Gas, a liquefied petroleum product facility on 2.0 acres on the south side of Ellis Road and east of John Rodes Blvd. on the following described property:

A request for a conditional use modification and initial site plan approval as provided in Chapter 98, Article III., Division 8. – C-P Commercial Parkway District, Sec. 98-364. – Conditional uses, (3) Planned commercial development on a parcel three acres or more of the Code of Ordinances to allow for the future development of a hotel and restaurant on 3.49 acres at the southeast corner of Circle Drive and West New Haven Avenue on the following described property:

All persons wishing to be heard should appear in person at these hearings or send written comments to the City Clerk.  All persons and parties are hereby advised that if they should decide to appeal any decision made by the City with respect to any matter considered at the public meeting or hearing described in this notice, they will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, said person or party may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (Chapter 286, Florida Statutes).  In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), anyone who needs a special accommodation for this meeting should contact the City Clerk’s office at (321) 837-7774 at least 48 hours in advance of this meeting. The public hearing may be continued to a time and date certain by announcement at this scheduled hearing without any further published notice.
