Public Notice - Buena Vida Cottages and Space Coast Town Center Phase I Subdivision

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of West Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida, has called for Public Hearing(s) to be held as follows:

West Melbourne Planning and Zoning Board, November 13, 2019, 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard in the Council Chamber, 2285 Minton Road West Melbourne, Florida. This meeting may include the attendance of one (1) or more members of the West Melbourne City Council who may or may not participate in the Board discussions held at this public meeting.

West Melbourne City Council, November 19, 2019, 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard in the Council Chamber, 2285 Minton Road, West Melbourne, Florida. 

The purpose of these public hearing(s) is to consider the following:

A request from Buena Vida Estates, Inc. for a small scale comprehensive plan amendment (SSA) to change the land use designation on 7.33 acres of property to INST (Institutional) and to consider a rezoning to P-1 (Institutional) with a site plan and development agreement for The Cottages at Buena Vida on property generally located on the east side of Woodland Drive and north of U.S. 192 and more particularly described as follows:

The Planning and Zoning Board will take public comment, consider the requests and make recommendations to the City Council. City Council will take public comment and recommendations from the Planning and Zoning Board and consider the requests.

All persons wishing to be heard should appear in person at these hearings or send written comments to the City Clerk.  All persons and parties are hereby advised that if they should decide to appeal any decision made by the City with respect to any matter considered at the public meeting or hearing described in this notice, they will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, said person or party may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (Chapter 286, Florida Statutes).  In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), anyone who needs a special accommodation for this meeting should contact the City Clerk at (321) 837-7774 at least 48 hours in advance of this meeting. The public hearing may be continued to a time and date certain by announcement at this scheduled hearing without any further published notice.
