Greenboro Forcemain Replacement Project

The City of West Melbourne requests submittal of bid proposals for the Greenboro Forcemain Replacement Project. The project consists of installing a new 12” HDPE forcemain by horizontal directional drill, installing a new 12” PVC forcemain by open cut, rerouting an existing 4” PVC to a nearby manhole, connection of the forcemain to the existing systems, abandonment, grouting, and/or removal of the existing 4” and 10” PVC forcemain, significant clearing and installation of slope stabilization (gabion baskets) at forcemain canal crossings (Base Bid) and along the north side of the Lakeside apartment complex (Additive Alternate #1), minor demolition and restoration, and all other items and work specified in the contract documents. All bids shall be based on the bid documents, specifications and project drawings included within the bid package. The duration of the contract shall be for 150 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) to Final Completion, with Substantial Completion within 120 days from NTP. Meeting and submittal dates shall be specified in the delivery schedule.

Sealed offers, in two (2) originals, for furnishing the services, supplies or equipment described herein will be accepted at the City of West Melbourne, c/o Cynthia Hanscom, City Clerk, 2240 Minton Road, West Melbourne, Florida 32904 until 2:00pm on November 8, 2019.  Under no circumstances shall any bid offer be accepted after the above-stipulated date and time. All bids will be stamped as to the date and time the bid was submitted. The date and time stamp shall be used to determine the timely basis of all bids.  This is an advertised solicitation and the offers will be publicly opened at West Melbourne City Hall located at 2240 Minton Road, 2nd Floor, West Melbourne, Florida 32904 on November 8, 2019 at 2:10 PM.

The supply, delivery, construction, equipment quantity, unit price and total cost amount of the referenced project shall be based on the design drawings and bid documents.
